Our next Regional Development Officer will be the main point of contact between Canoe Wales and the volunteers and professionals in Wales who are developing paddlesport opportunities for a wide range of people. The role is to get more people paddling – by supporting our clubs to grow and develop, assisting with publicising and organising special events, developing initiatives to encourage underrepresented groups into paddling, and working with local stakeholders to develop new venues and opportunities for paddlesports.
This is a challenging role that requires creativity, strategic thinking and amazing people skills – it involves a lot of time on the road (when conditions allow) meeting with clubs and paddlers and working with a small budget and limited time to do everything you might like to do. But it’s also an exciting opportunity to make a real difference if you’re passionate about getting people outdoors and enjoying our beautiful lakes, rivers and coastline.
We are looking for someone creative, hard-working and great at communicating – with lots of fantastic ideas for how to get people paddling, and the organisational and people skills needed to make them happen.
If you think you might be a good fit or you'd like to find out more, full details of the role can be found on our
Vacancies page.
